Fact-Checking Policy

Trust depends on accuracy. This policy explains how The Hub Feed checks the information it publishes.

How we check facts

  • Reliable sources: we base our articles on primary and reliable sources, such as official statements and documents, peer-reviewed studies, and established news organizations.
  • Attribution: claims are attributed to their source, and we link to sources in the article so readers can verify them.
  • Corroboration: important claims are checked against more than one source whenever possible. Claims made by interested parties are clearly attributed rather than presented as fact.
  • Leaving out what we cannot confirm: if a detail cannot be verified, we do not publish it, or we clearly say that it is unconfirmed.
  • Numbers, names and dates: these are checked against the original source before publication.
  • Images: we use images we have the right to use, such as freely licensed images, and credit them.

When something is wrong

If an error is confirmed, we correct it promptly, as described in our Corrections Policy. To report a possible error, email news.business@sosilha.com.br with a link to the article and details of the issue.
