Kanye West says he regrets when ex Kim Kardashian got pregnant amid parental war threat in leaked messages

After allegedly disclosing private messages between himself and Kim Kardashian, Kanye West has now indicated that he was initially reluctant to have children with the reality television star as soon as they did.

West and Kardashian, who began dating in 2012, became engaged in October 2013. The couple welcomed their first child, North West, in June 2013, before marrying in May 2014. Their marriage lasted seven years, during which they had three more children: Saint, Chicago, and their youngest, Psalm, who was born on May 9, 2019.

Following their divorce, West and Kardashian continued co-parenting their children. However, West has recently expressed dissatisfaction with certain aspects of their arrangement.

Kardashian formally filed for divorce in 2021. This month, West participated in an extensive interview with DJ Akademiks, during which he made several remarks regarding their past relationship.

During the discussion, West admitted responsibility for his involvement with Kardashian, stating, “Absolutely I did, that was my fault.” He further reflected on the rapid progression of their relationship, revealing, “I didn’t want to have children with this person after the first two months of being with her, but that wasn’t God’s plan.”

These comments follow West’s recent decision to share screenshots on Twitter, claiming they contained private messages exchanged between him and Kardashian. In his post, he asserted, “This first screen grab shows that I’m not playing.”

The messages were shared as West promoted the release of his latest song, LONELY ROADS STILL GO TO SUNSHINE, which reportedly features rapper Diddy, Diddy’s son Christian “King” Combs, and West’s 11-year-old daughter, North.

Reports suggest that Kardashian has sought legal intervention to prevent North’s association with the song. In one of the messages West released, he allegedly stated, “I’m never speaking with you again.”

Kardashian purportedly responded by referencing a previous agreement regarding the trademarking of their children’s names, explaining, “I asked you at the time if I could trademark her name. You said yes. When she turns 18, it goes to her. So stop. I sent paperwork over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song. To protect her. One person has to trademark! We agreed when they were born that I would get all of our kids’ names and trademarks so no one else would take them.”

West allegedly countered with a strong warning, saying, “Amend it or I’m going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout. You’re going to have to kill me.”

In a previous interview conducted in 2016, West described himself as being “extremely protective” of North.
