‘Japanese Baba Vanga’ predicts catastrophic event in July 2025 that could impact hundreds of millions of people

Public fascination with prophecy endures, whether viewed through skepticism or belief. While historical figures such as Nostradamus and Baba Vanga continue to be referenced for their alleged foresight into major world events—including wars, political upheavals, and natural disasters—modern individuals have also gained attention for similar claims.

Among them is Ryo Tatsuki, a Japanese former manga artist who has become known for documenting vivid dreams she interprets as premonitions. Since the 1980s, Tatsuki has recorded these experiences and published them in a 1999 illustrated volume titled The Future I Saw. Her accounts are said to contain references to several major events, including what some interpret as a forewarning of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami.

One of her more widely discussed predictions concerns a catastrophic event she claims will occur in July 2025. Described as a “mega tsunami,” the envisioned disaster is said to involve boiling ocean waters and mass destruction, with impacts expected to be significantly greater than those of the 2011 tsunami, which claimed nearly 20,000 lives.

Tatsuki’s dream reportedly highlighted a diamond-shaped region encompassing the Northern Mariana Islands, Indonesia, Taiwan, and parts of Japan. She also described visual elements such as dragon-like forms moving toward the region—imagery that some interpret as symbolic warnings of seismic activity. Observers have drawn connections between these descriptions and patterns of geological instability in the Pacific region.

Japan lies within the Pacific Ring of Fire, a zone known for high seismic activity due to tectonic plate movement. The country is also situated along the Nankai Trough, an area capable of generating powerful earthquakes and tsunamis. While there is no scientific validation for Tatsuki’s visions, some geologists note that the geographic areas she references are, indeed, at risk of such natural disasters.

Reactions to her 2025 prediction have been varied. Some express concern over the potential implications for disaster preparedness in coastal regions, emphasizing the importance of readiness even in the absence of conclusive evidence. Others remain doubtful, viewing the claims as speculative rather than prophetic.

Though skeptics and scientists alike caution against attributing undue weight to unverified forecasts, discussions surrounding Tatsuki’s predictions have nevertheless sparked broader conversations about regional vulnerability, emergency response, and public awareness in the face of natural threats.
