Declassified CIA files suggest Ark of the Covenant may have been found

The long-standing mystery surrounding the location of the Ark of the Covenant may have found a resolution.

According to biblical accounts, the Ark of the Covenant was constructed by the Israelites after their exodus from Egypt around the 13th century BC and is believed to house the Ten Commandments.

Historians have long debated the Ark’s whereabouts. Some believe it was initially stored in the Holy of Holies, the holiest chamber in the Temple of Jerusalem, until it vanished in 586 BC. Others suggest the Ark was transported to Ethiopia, where local tradition claims it is concealed in a church.

Despite numerous theories, no definitive physical evidence of the Ark’s location has been found. However, a declassified CIA document from 2000 suggests the agency may have uncovered its location in 1988.

In the 1970s and 1980s, both the CIA and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) employed individuals with purported paranormal abilities to gather intelligence about distant events. One such program, Project Sun Streak, utilized psychics to gather information about locations or objects based solely on coordinates.

In a session conducted on December 5, 1988, a remote viewer, identified only as ‘No. 032,’ was assigned a target to identify. The results were extraordinary.

The document described the target as a container, which contained another container inside. It was noted that the object was made of wood, gold, and silver and was adorned with a six-winged angel. The viewer also mentioned that the object had the shape of a coffin and was located somewhere in the Middle East, where Arabic was spoken.

Although the psychic was not informed that they were searching for the Ark of the Covenant, their description closely aligned with traditional accounts of the sacred artifact. According to biblical history, the Ark is a gold-covered wooden chest believed to have been constructed around 1445 BC.

Further details in the document mentioned that the target was hidden in a location that was underground, dark, and damp, highlighting the secretive nature of its resting place. The viewer added that the Ark’s purpose was linked to bringing people together and involved ceremony, memory, homage, and resurrection. There were also references to spirituality, knowledge, and lessons that extend beyond current understanding.

The psychic also reported that the Ark is “protected by entities” and can only be opened by those with proper authorization.

This document is part of a broader archive related to the CIA’s psychic programs, which were used in various operations, including locating hostages or tracking down missing individuals.
